About
RSB is back.. But here is the history of how we got here, and where we’re going.
RockstarBaby.net as a domain has been around since 2003, but it didn’t start to become what it is now until 2007. The current incarnation of RSB started to take shape on January 23rd 2007, when on a whim, S decided to make a gossip blog about alternative rock & pop punk bands. Shortly after the fact, S decided that it would be cool to also interview the bands gossiped about on the blog, and take concert photos. Less than a month later RSB did it’s first interview, on Feb 16th 2007 with Authority Zero. After not even being up for even two months, RSB already was scoring press credentials to big tours like My Chemical Romance’s Welcome To The Black Parade tour and the Alternative Press Tour. RSB quickly rose in popularity. We were interviewing several bands a month, getting press to all the cool shows, and getting free cd’s in the mail every week.
In 2008, RSB tried to shift over from only focusing on Rock music. We tried to expand out to covering extreme sports (we even had a short lived web site called RSB-Extreme), and hip-hop as well. Getting interviews with Hip-Hop acts proved to be a lot harder. By end of July of 2008, S and everyone else involved with RSB was burnt out. RSB’s updates ceased after our coverage of the Maloof Money Cup.
Now 6 months later, RSB is BACK… expect from the new RSB what was on the old, but this time around we’ll be blogging about a lot of other things.. From fashion to tv, to current events.
